To help the Needy why PAP don't implement US "Food Stamp"?

PAP raised GST ostensibly for a more equitable tax structure and to help the needy, why not implement something like what the US had been doing and tweaking it to suit the local circumstances? Coupons used must bear the identification of the recipient of any public assistance programs. Will this country lose face to have such a program? Don't worry, unless you had been sticking your head in the sand, everybody outside hates us.

no such thing as a free lunch/meal here from the authorities, try the Singapore Buddhist Lodge for free vegetarian meals, its not bad.
 
the pap wil only help themselves to the $$, not the other way round.

Who say dun have. If you are one of the ministars, not only do you get free lunch, you also go jiak hong for free. Like someone pointed out in another thread, all the ministars go jiak hong liao
