He used to hang his PAP long service award certificate in his office, 6th floor of Bras Basah centre. I guess that when he is removed from NTUC, his PAP links are removed as well. hahaha

I wondered why he was not offered another job after he left NTUC?

NTUC used to be a dumping ground of those without paper qualification. I was told that the ex-General Manager (A Teo) only has a Senior School Leaving Certificate.

Those were the good days - when Singapore needed people to develop the economy. If FTs have appeared on the scene in those days, Kin Lian will still be a computer programmer in GE Life. Where got chance to be Managing Director and later CEO?

21st century Singaporeans really got a lousy deal these days !!!

Funny, it is exactly the type of work which he put his son to do in NTUC for industry experience.

I got this feeling that TKL isn't a PAP intended candidate. TT and TCB are, in order to stage a contest, with TT as the intended winner. TKL is the wild card. He was a PAP cadre for decades, that's true. But for those involved in the financial industry, TKL has already been vocally criticizing PAP and NTUC policies even before he left. I see that as what led to his ouster, and what turned him frontally against PAP. I see his motive being more personal than public service.

I think that TT would win at about 50%, with 30% to TKL and 20% to TCB.

The whole lot are underqualified. Even KT Samuel his no.2. These guys cannot be employed elsewhere. Some might even have decent skills or qualifications but have serious flaws such as lack of communication, articulation skills etc. They progressed because it is a captive market. Not only his son but KT's son and many others.
