Woman Says McDonalds Worker Wearing Ski Mask Pointed Rifle At Her In Drive-Thru In Dispute Over Wrong Order, Employees Cuffed & Rifle Found
Police were called to the McDonald’s on Natural Bridge and Kingshighway Sunday night after a misunderstanding over an incorrect order took place. A customer in the drive through, who wished to remain nameless, told VOP that she, another woman and a child were given the wrong order.
After producing a receipt she claims that when she alerted workers the order was wrong and incorrect change was given instead of the employees correcting the order, a debate occurred with an employee at the window.
The customers that were given the wrong order stated during the dispute a McDonald’s employee wearing a ski mask aimed a rifle at the drive-through windows scaring the customers and the infant child inside the vehicle. The customer then alerted the police and SLMPD arrived moments later surrounding the McDonald’s location and ordering the crew to unlock the door.
Although we do not know the conversation that occurred inside of the McDonald’s, the door remained locked until the GM of the store arrived. Once police finally entered the restaurant, a rifle was confiscated, all employees were cuffed and taken into custody. When we asked the customers if they requested for a manager during the dispute, they explained that the manager was present for the entire incident and did not attempt to intervene or make the situation right. We also asked if it was possible the masked employee left the restaurant to retrieve the weapon to which the customer said, “No it was already in there.”
At this time we have not been able to retrieve a statement from employees nor management at this McDonald’s location. No one was physically hurt during this situation.
