When I was much younger, I used to feel proud of PAP. The govt then worked hard to grow the nation and at the same time took good care of its people. Having lived in Tanjong Pagar previously, I had no qualms that it was always a walkover because I believed in LKY and his team.

But these days, things have taken a big change. Whenever I think of PAP, the things that came to my mind are: multi-million pay check, insatiable greed, reluctance to spend on needys while at the same time readily and unreservedly increase their own salary and bonus.

I can't help but feel cynical about today's PAP. Every policy they roll out, I question - What are their real motives? Is it to help the people or to help themselves? Grow the nation or grow the GDP (since their bonus is tied to it)?

I miss my father's PAP...
