Saw this in a Bloomberg report about Singapore employment figures. Seems that this employers only wants "New Citizens" and PRs only. You all can call this tel no to find out which retail company this is that discriminate against Singapore-born Singaporeans - 98773886.

Someone call SAF. Tell those scholars that they are powerless against the employers discriminating against NS and reservist duties and see what they say.

I dont see any thing on the sign that shows they only to hire PR or new citizens.

and no, I wont be a fool to call them either. That is haressment.

新公民all long referring to新加坡公民. but of course can be double meaning.

The sign say Singaporean or PR. Didnt say New Citizen or PR and old citizens are not allowed.

Unless you are not a chinese or do not know chinese, you should be ashame on how you deduce the information.

Xing gong min.....is a double edge sword...can be a short for Singapore Citizen ( Xing Jia Por gong min) or just new citizen ( xing gong min)..why don't you guys call that number & ask...
