Thinking of a quicky at Geylang? Think again!

If you are a married or attached man thinking of getting a quicky at Geylang Red Light District behind your woman’s back, think again!

A website dedicated to “checking cheating Singaporean men in Geylang” has been setup to catch unfaithful men “in the act” and posting their photos online.

Purportedly helmed by a Singaporean female, it professes to be “a dedicated team of private investigators whom do up this as a FREE service to the ladies out there in Singapore”.

An introduction on the website claims the team conducts “…hourly patrol of geylang streets to take down pictures of your boyfriends, hubby, male relatives , friends or even male colleagues whom walk along the secret streets of geylang.”

It further claims that “a list of car plate numbers will also be filmed down for you to validate your hubby ’s claim of doing overtime.”

The website also contains information and photos on the favourite parking places for cheating men who drives.

Visitors to the website are also invited to contribute photos of “cheating” men by emailing the webmaster.

At the time of this article, this writer counted at least 50 odd photos posted on the website supposedly of “cheating” men and women walking along various alleys in Geylang. There were no explicit photos of “cheating parties” caught in the act.

So male readers who are thinking of visiting Geylang for a quicky, do not be surprised if sometime, somewhere, someone walks up to you and say: “Smile, you are on candid camera!”

What a waste of time.instead of sitting with each other and meeting the sex needs they are chasing people in Gaylong...how about just sitting in front of hotel 81 and she can see her own sisters

This is not going to proof anything. That fellow is just walking, passing by.

Better don't walk in those streets.

invasion of privacy

can be sued leh

Exactly but in Sinkland ,the invasion of privacy won't hold much water rather the person who set up set web can really sued for defamation.

The very posting of photos, be it clear or not ,consitute a very basis of the implied manner of the character of that person captured on the photo.

Like a forumer said here, anyone can be in that area for various legal purpose.

The time this blog or whatever remains active, isn't going to be very long before it is taken down.

The papers reported on something like this before

Basically taking photos of other pple in public is not a crime in itself, however taking photos for the purpose of using it against them e.g. extortion etc, can be constituted to be a crime. So this is a bit of a grey area here. It will probably depend on whether the guy wants to sue the blogger or not

Agree this is family matter. No need to post photo online. The PI will be sue for any family breakup. Or even worst divorce due to public online humiliation.
Pi can take photo show to customer but cannot post online. That breach the privacy act.
If I were the consultants for the male, I will advice him to sue the PI for posting online.
