A group of youths filmed themselves flagging down a cab and getting onto it, only to leave immediately through the door on the other side as a childish prank.

The video of them in the act has been circulating on facebook and sparked outrage among users.

Some thought it was "not funny at all" while others labelled the prank as a "distasteful cheap thrill" and felt that the youths were lucky to have not been hurt by other oncoming vehicles.

One commented, "Taxi driver works hard to earn a living, is it worth you guys doing that? Brainless!"

One of the youths involved in the incident has emailed STOMP to clarify that the prank was shot as part for a short film project on youngsters.

Maybe these monkey worshipping clowns should also allow a taxi to knock them down one by one as part of a short film project to highlight the importance of safety when crossing the road..
