When contacted, Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice-president of corporate communications at SBS Transit, which runs the NEL, expressed shock over the sighting.

She said the company's pest- control vendor conducts regular checks at its depot and at all NEL stations.

please for goodness sake, when i was working in the depot years ago, i already saw the rats running around in the drains of the depot. so what pest control regular checks are they talking about!

Serious kapa? wah i thought no eating and drinking is allowed in the train stations and cabins? Must be that mat technicians eating keropok at night while doing maintenance.

Has Tammy actually visited depots and NEL stations often?
