There are lies and blatant untruths in cyberspace, no doubt. There are indeed falsehoods that must not be allowed to fester. But the government is not the ultimate arbiter of truth. The citizens are. That is something PM Lee has failed to acknowledge.

There is indeed a need for reliable places in cyberspace where there is balanced debate and where people can air differing views without fear of persecution.

The irony however is that it is the government that has done so much to prevent such places from forming, either through soft authoritarianism or via the strong arm of the law.

Cowboy towns? Ridiculous untruths? Let us see the mainstream media clean up their act first. The joke is still on them.

the more the faggort try to surpress the truth and tell half truths,

the more the lies come to haunt him and when the real truth comes out in the cyberspace,

he should have stick to not telling lies and half truths in the first place.
