This post is not meant to frighten anyone.....
Should any kid or adult whom had been to East Coast beach 10 years ago, and then today, would had REALIZED the simple and evident differences:-
a)10 yrs ago, at high tide, the beach does not touch any vegetation on the shorelines.
b)Today, at high tide, one can even touch the salt water from a seat or a BBQ pit just a few centimeters away, not meters aways...
However, do chill, the best minds are at it to ensure ALL will be safe. =
It will be evolving tech that will alleviate issues, and furthermore, Singaporean Civil engineers had long, since 1965, had been aware of such issues and had ensured any public built up homes and spaces, must be above 1 to 2m height, as it is expected that sea level would rise to heights of 30cm in 2050 based upon honest and rigorously applied scientific methods, not by hearsay or rumor mongering of those whom seek to exploit the naive and stupid on their fears. for personal profit or political vested interests....
