Sinkieland got a handful of global brands, international companies....Osim, SIA, Keppel, Sembcorp, PSA....many many more.........who says sinkies education cannot make it???

Their books are all wrapped in cellophane, can't browse prior to buying. No seating and coffee area like Barnes & Noble and Chapters in North Am.

Times and MPH in Sg is puny. Check out MPH at Mid-valley mall in KL - that is what a REAL bookstore should be.

Out of nothing? Way before LKY was born, Sg was the gem of the British Empire in the East already. All he did was took the baton from the Brits and kept the momentum going, while suppressing growth in areas not ever mentioned by the Straits Mimes.

Every country has their successful entrepreneurs, Canada has RIM, Malaysia has Air Asia, it has nothing to do with the education system of the country, just look at Hong Kong.
An education system is to built a society of responsible and caring citizens with a conscience for what is right and wrong, not create money greedy folk who do not have a sense of humanity in them.

You need to do better than this if you want to be a Pro PAP Spokesman. Global brands are not products of education as Microsoft and Apple proves.
Have you made a search about Ron Sim, who founded OSIM? He did not earned a degree after completing his education.

Sim is one of 7 children born in a struggling family, and was an average student in a neighbourhood school. The values of determination and diligence were quickly instilled in him during his youth, as he took on odd jobs to help support his family even before he turned 9. These odds jobs included selling prawn noodles from door-to-door, as well as waiting on tables at a fishball noodle stand. When his family was unable to afford the tuition for his tertiary education, he worked a variety of jobs, including positions at shipyard and construction sites, as well as selling encyclopedias and insurance, in order to fund his education. He realized his own flair in selling while in those positions, as he found himself overwhelmed with job offers from appreciative companies.
