NSP's offer confuses voters
THE offer by National Solidarity Party's (NSP) secretary-general Goh Meng Seng ('NSP 'prepared to make way for Workers' Party''; yesterday) is an example of what Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean meant when he highlighted the need for the electorate to cast their votes for the party and candidate whom they can trust.
How can the electorate of Moulmein-Kallang GRC trust NSP's candidates when the party says it is prepared to give way to the Workers' Party to avoid a three-cornered fight?
All that Mr Goh has done is to confuse the electorate of Moulmein-Kallang GRC and embolden them to re-elect the People's Action Party.

imho, gms was playing a very shrewd strategy. he put the motive before self, that is, if WP sends a better team, then he would withdraw participating in that GRC to prevent a 3-corners fight which only benefits pap and to ensure a higher chance of knocking off the pap team.
if we turn our attention to SDP, even though SDP has already created such a bad name to themselves, they are still very thick-skinned to compete with others in certain wards. don't u feel that they are implanted moles to mess up the overall support for opps?
SDP is already a washed out. i doubt much support would be given to them whether chee soon juan stands or doesn't qualify as a GE candidate.
