it’s more than any single weapon. soviets had a vast continental land mass, massive manpower, industrial capacity, raw materials and resources, capable commanders, brave soldiers and airmen, and military and supply aid from allies that tipped the scale. at the end of ww2, they had many times more men, munitions, and material plus seasoned commanders to wipe out the allies in europe, i.e. if both sides were to engage in another war.
