My favorite is An Officer And A Gentleman. The original theme song Up Where We Belong is unforgettable too. Unchained Melody in Ghost and Pretty Woman in Pretty Woman were not original songs written for the respective movies;

Although Unchained Melody is a very old theme, but using it in Ghost was an appropriate and perfect musical adaptation, sensuous and rousing, which did not detract from enjoyment of the movie, so much so that it is now often remembered together with the movie. Another movie with good musical adaptation was the movie, Amadeus, with themes almost all from Mozart's repertoire but it was a great musical film. Another example is Mama Mia. Soylent Green had also some good musical adaptation from Eduard Grieg and others.

There were even more sex scenes with Sharon Stone acting but the suspense and anticipation was no more there.

My all-time favourite movie is: The Sting

Starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford, this movie is about 2 con-men who conduct their greatest ever con on a gangster, who had ordered a hit on one of their friends.
An interesting plot, fast moving, great acting, with a catchy theme song "The Entertainer", this movie has everything including a twist at the end. Everything falls into place and the baddie gets his come-uppance. Newman and Redford in their prime. Very watchable in colour on DVD.

There are other great movies, but tis is my all-time favourite. :p

SAW. Because I like the twist, one of the best plot I've ever seen.
Another movie is HOSTEL, because Im amazed by the movie director's gore idea.
