expatliving.sg
Thanksgiving is right around the corner – will you be hosting a dinner at home or dining out at a restaurant? If you’re wondering what to do for Thanksgiving in Singapore, here are some of our recommendations, including top restaurants offering traditional Thanksgiving dinners and shops that sell whole turkeys.
Wolfgang’s Steakhouse
Happening on 26 November at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is a one-night only Thanksgiving dinner ($158 per person) that combines a traditional turkey feast with the restaurant’s famous dry-aged beef. The special menu starts with caesar salad and bacon, followed by a butternut squash soup with corn bread. For mains, tuck into boneless turkey breast and USDA Prime Petit Filet Mignon, served with roasted veggies, baked sweet potato and stuffing. Rounding up the meal is a serving of apple strudel with ice cream.
If you’re spending Thanksgiving at home, you can also opt to takeaway half and whole turkeys. Preorder opens on 20 October, and you can collect them from 26 to 29 November. Accompanying the pre-cooked turkeys is a spread of stuffing, roasted greens, mashed sweet potato and cranberry sauce. Island-wide delivery is available at a top-up of $15.

Sasha’s Fine Foods
Throw a Thanksgiving party at home with free-range, slow-growing whole turkeys from KellyBronze, exclusively available at Sasha’s Fine Foods. Raised in the Kelly farm in Essex, England, the award-winning turkeys are fed a natural diet and are free to roam in the woodlands and pastures. The birds are reared with exceptional care and passion, and are grown to full maturity. They’re twice the age of standard intensively-farmed turkeys, doubling farming costs but promoting much better meat quality.
When they’ve reached full maturity, the birds are hand-plucked on the farm, which gives the farmers extra time to hang their turkeys and age them the traditional way. This results in tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat with an amazing, intensified flavour.

Sunday Catering
This catering company does a pretty mean turkey! The whole-roasted turkey ($160) which feeds around eight to ten people, is slow-roasted and accompanied with house gravy and cranberry sauce. The turkey is brined, stuffed and trussed our turkeys for a more even cook, resulting in juicy, tender and flavoursome meat.
For a smaller party, try the classic roast chicken ($48), made with fresh organic chicken and a simple chestnut stuffing. The Kurobuta pork belly porchetta ($138) is another must-try on our list! Think meltingly tender meat and perfectly crackled skin.
Order at least four days in advance.
