American Teacher’s 2.2 Million Baht’s worth of luck thanks to Pattaya resident

On Saturday Pattaya Police were able to reunite a missing bag of money with its owner, an American Teacher from Bangkok.

Initially a report was made at Pattaya Police Station by Mr. James Malanik aged 63 from USA, a teacher working at a School in Bangkok, who reported his Brown bag missing. Inside was his passport and a mixture of Thai and US Currency totaling 2.2 Million Baht.

Unbeknown to him, the bag had been found by Khun Yupin aged 43 on the road in North Pattaya close to the intersection with the Sukhumvit Road, moments after it had been lost. She looked inside and saw it was full of money and decided she would do the right thing and hand the bag into Pattaya Police Station who were able to reunite the bag with its rightful owner, Mr. Malanik.

He was extremely grateful to Khun Yupin and rewarded her with 10,000 Baht which was received with thanks by her. Mr. Malanik praised her honesty.

And nobody asks why the American teacher has 2 million in his bag?

2.2 million BAHT equals SGD 85,000. Big deal! Can't even buy a car in Sinkieland!

That's nothing to brag about, it only reveals the insanely high cost of living in Sinkieland.

85k SGD gets you a long way in Thailand.

My fren was swindled by a teochew Thai of $600,000.......... how is that for honesty?
