<!-- story content : start --> LIMITED editions of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) commemorative coins were launched on Tuesday by the YOG Organising Committee in collaboration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Mint. Officiating the launch at the Games Superstore along Orchard Road was Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports) Teo Ser Luck and SYOGOC chairman Ng Ser Miang.

The three coins, made of gold, silver and copper-nickel, are valued at $10, $5 and $2 respectively. They retail at $850, $130 and $29 respectively while a set of the silver coin and four-silver plated medallions (decorated with sport pictograms) is priced at $208. All can be purchased through the Singapore Mint or online at www.singapore2010.sg/coins. An exhibition of these coins, which feature either the YOG mascots Lyo and Merly or the Olympic rings and Singapore 2010 emblem as part of their designs, and the minting process behind their production will be on display at the Superstore until July 18.
