WTF is it trying to do? Should there not be proper control and procedure in which its funds are allocated for the benefit of all Sporns? We're talking about public funds that they are dealing with! WHERE THE FCUK IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?

(SINGAPORE) In its newly revised charter, Temasek Holdings has spelt out its commitment to community giving loud and clear.

In a media roundtable yesterday, Temasek chief executive Ho Ching said that one key difference between the Temasek Charter 2002 and the Charter this year is that Temasek is being more explicit in its commitment to the community this time.
'Temasek is a responsible corporate citizen and is committed to contributing part of its returns to encourage the growth and development of the wider community,' the Temasek Charter reads.
In conjunction with its 35th anniversary in June, Temasek also launched Temasek Cares this year, a philanthropic initiative focused on helping the underprivileged and building the community in Singapore.
The charity will be supported by an endowment of $100 million.
This is the latest addition to its stable of non-profit philanthropic organisations contributing to Singapore and to Asia.
Two years ago, Temasek formalised its commitment through the launch of the $500 million Temasek Trust. Governed by a distinguished board of trustees, the trust looks after the donated funds. For every year of positive wealth added since 2003, Temasek has committed to set aside a portion for Temasek Trust.
