SINGAPORE: StarHub said Thursday that it is doubling its rebate to customers who opt to watch Barclays Premier League (BPL) matches cross-carried on its service.

It said in a statement that customers will receive up to S$30 off their bills per month, capped at S$600.

The telco had said on August 3 that it was offering a S$300 rebate for customers who re-contract or sign up for broadband and TV bundles, while taking up BPL matches to be cross-carried on its service.

Announcing its new rebate on Thursday, StarHub said the offer is open to both new and existing customers.

Those who wish to sign up for the deal will first have to register with SingTel for BPL content to be cross-carried on StarHub, and pay SingTel S$59.90 per month.

Responding to StarHub's announcement, SingTel indicated that its existing package remains competitive.

Its spokesperson said SingTel football coverage includes other leagues such as the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
