KUALA LUMPUR: An underage girl is believed to have run off with her Indonesian boyfriend the same day her mother died about two weeks ago.

The family of Sun Bee Ling, 15, is now worried about her safety.

Bee Ling was believed to have left home four days before neighbours called police on June 28 over a stench coming from a Subang Perdana house where she lived with her mother Chin Kim Tai, 51, and the Indonesian.

The Indonesian had been renting a room at the house since about six months ago.

Bee Ling's aunt Chin Siew Yin, 46, said police broke into the house and found Kim Tai's decomposing body.

Translating for Siew Yin, MCA Public Complaints Bureau chief Datuk Seri Michael Chong told reporters that Bee Ling's relatives had no idea where she was.

"Neighbours believe the girl left home on the same day her mother died because they did not see her and the Indonesian for four days," he said at Wisma MCA here.

Kim Tai's relatives lodged a missing persons report at the Kampung Baru Subang police station the same day.

Chong said a post-mortem found that Kim Tai had passed away due to a coronary artery occlusion, or heart problems.

He said Bee Ling did not show up at her mother's funeral a few days later.

The girl's father had passed away in May. Bee Ling was an only child.

Chong said neighbours frequently saw Bee Ling with the Indo*nesian.

Bee Ling had previously ran away from home just before her father's death.

The family was believed to be suffering from some household problems.

According to her family, Bee Ling was close to her family and was much loved by her mother.

Chong asked anyone with information on Bee Ling's whereabouts to call 03-22033888.
