The Taliban fighters raped two young girls and then beheaded them in front of their families in Surkh Qala village in Roy Doab District in Samangan Province, reports Hasht-E Subh on December 24. According to locals, after two bodyguards of the Taliban governor for Roy Doab District, Mullah Shamshad, raped these girls, Shamshad showed up on the scene and ordered his men to execute the victims immediately on charges of adultery. One of the girls has been identified as Amina, a midwife in a local clinic, while the other victim’s identity is yet to be ascertained….
