Oki,here is the business-plan for MRT CEO who is more interested in making monies out of all the empty space into retail outlets than actually running a transport company.

This enterprising money spinning idea now becomes viable ever since MRT breaking down had now become a daily occurance if not an hourly affair. In short,it is no more once a 50 years sports but a daily affair.

Let commuters place bets each time they take a train. The money can be deducted from the same card. The betting is for whether they will reach their destination or not.Odds and other details can be worked out later. This is a win win situation for both SMRT and the commuters. With this stroke of ingenuity SMRT now can also contribute to our casino based economy without spending any more billions-- since all the infrastructures are already there.Just buy some additional software. That's all.

Commuters can now bet without going the extra mile to a Singapore pool outlet. And most importantly they might not complain that much if and when the MRT do breaks-down.Since there is a 50%/50% chance that they may have betted for a breakdown. And the CEO of the SMRT and their staff need not worry about facing the anger and the wreath of the public nor a hostile press conference. And it goes further--the blurfuck transport minister needs no wayang to cry in public .

Of course, there is always this question whether SMRT will kelong or not.But than we do not know whether Singapore pools ever kelong or nor, right?

Besides, betting on such a large scale by the seconds might actually push our GDP by another 2%...which will make all our ministers happy since their bonuses are tied to GDP.

btw: I hold a copyright on this idea.

Then everytime I take MRT I got to bet like open BIG or SMALL whether I can reach my destination or not ?

dun worry after this, they will increase their budget and improve the reliability of the train. it was running so smoothly that they decide to maximise profit to their share holder. hopefully they will fire the useless and incapable ceo as a bonus.
