Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has stated that its bilateral policy with Singapore will be based on official statements made by the two countries and will not be influenced by statements by individuals.

This is in light of the backlash by Taiwanese netizens over a Facebook post made by Mdm Ho Ching, wife of Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday where she wrote, “Errrr…” in regards to a news article that states Taiwan is donating face-masks to Singapore.

Taiwanese netizens have asked Mdm Ho to explain the meaning of her post and said that if Singapore...

PAP elites embarrassed by taiwan generosity and success. Not many infected as they got news from their hokkien brethrens on the mainland and closed the border with china earlier. Something US followed much later despite WHO saying it's not necessary.
That means massive savings in healthcare cost for Taiwan plus no need for lockdowns and QE. .

To all people of Taiwan,
Thank you for your generosity for the much needed masks and also to apologise for the dispicable behaviour of the wife of our soon to be replaced PM. I would also like to congratulate you all for the outstanding work in containing the virus in Taiwan. Definitely a true gold standard which the rest of the world including Singapore can learned from. Finally do not judge us from the behaviour of one poor upbringing citizen. May you continue to make good progress in the fight again the virus and hope that in the very near future our two people can visit each other again.

Respectfully yours

Mothers know best to take care of her sick children.... taiwanese mothers stay in Taiwan....

I don't trust Taiwanese in real life.
But even if I am China, I know I cannot trust people of such values.

It isn't surprising why Aunty Ho got triggered at a small matter regarding Taiwan's sovereignty.

Wait till we find out how much money she had burnt in China. Example: Luckin Coffee.

Husband milks Sinkies dry, wife spends the money recklessly overseas. What a combo!

What happened to the hokkien alliance. Didn't the army trained together?

Will the Singapore Government charge her for endangering our international relations with Taiwan? People have been charged for posting less scandalous things on FB. This is a bigger issue and more serious than threatening our national security or undermining our judiciary.
