A 52-year-old Syrian man was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at the Vienna Regional Court on Tuesday after allegedly luring his six-year-old neighbor’s daughter into his apartment and raping her. The verdict for rape, aggravated sexual abuse of a minor, and possession of child abuse material is already legally binding.
Abuse “only happened once”
The defendant initially denied the crime but confessed during the trial. In court, he finally said, “I admit everything,” but added that it “only happened once.” Both he and the prosecutor accepted the verdict. According to the indictment, the incident occurred on July 3, 2025, in an apartment complex in Vienna. The man allegedly watched the girl playing in the courtyard and lured her into his apartment with a lollipop. There, he allegedly partially undressed the child and performed sexual acts on her.
The prosecution described how the defendant pushed the child into the apartment. The defense presented a different version of events, claiming that the girl went along willingly because the man allegedly wanted to bring additional seating into the courtyard. The defendant himself claimed that he only touched the child.
Massive amounts of child pornography found
After the arrest, the man’s apartment was searched. Investigators seized approximately 5,500 to 6,000 files containing child abuse material, including images and videos, on various storage devices. The man is also alleged to have shared two videos via WhatsApp. Furthermore, he took more than 160 screenshots from the material.
Other serious allegations
The proceedings also included another allegation: The man is accused of showing another girl a pornographic film on his cell phone in a park and soliciting her for sexual acts. He eventually confessed to this as well, or rather, he no longer denied the accusation in the same way as at the beginning.
Prison Sentence for Migrant
At the start of the trial, the defendant had not yet confessed. Only after the child’s testimony, which took place behind closed doors, did he change his mind. The defense attorney spoke of a pedophilic disorder and called the act “horrific and appalling.”
The court ultimately sentenced him to four and a half years in prison. Since the verdict is legally binding, there will be no further appeal.
Result of Mass Migration
FPÖ Secretary General and Homeland Security Spokesman Michael Schnedlitz described the case as “a horrific result of a completely irresponsible immigration policy.” “This abhorrent case is yet another bloody example of what the welcoming culture of the established parties has brought upon our homeland: imported crime that stops at nothing and no one, and whose victims are our own children,” he stated in a press release.
The court ultimately sentenced him to four and a half years in prison. The only logical consequence: Deportation
For him, it was an intolerable situation that a Syrian man living on Austrian social welfare could commit such a bestial act against a child. The Syrian man had forfeited his right to hospitality in the most brutal way imaginable. Instead of discussing whether he could receive therapy in Austria, the only logical consequence must be his immediate deportation back to his home country of Syria, demanded Schnedlitz. It was unacceptable for the Austrian population to bear the burden of supporting and even treating such criminals. He criticized:
Every euro spent on imprisonment, the justice system, and therapy for such offenders is one euro too many. It is a perversion of the system that we use our hard-earned tax money to finance the “full support” of foreign criminals who deeply despise our society and attack our children.
Syrian man receives private medical care, victim continues to suffer
Schnedlitz pointed out that this perpetrator, once he begins his prison sentence, will be treated like a private patient and receive the best medical care, while his victim languishes in the system of waiting lists. The fact that thousands of files containing child abuse images were also found on the perpetrator shows “that we are dealing with a ticking time bomb here, which was only able to enter Austria due to the open borders policy.”
