Sydney's Vivid Festival has opened with a series of spectacular light projections on the 'sails' of the
city's iconic Opera House.
Now in its fourth year, the event features over 50 light installations, including a display on the 'sails' of
the Sydney Opera House.
The installation was the brainchild of German design company Urbanscreen. Ignatius Jones, executive
producer of the festival, said the aim was to bring a taste of what happens inside the Opera House to
the outside.
