SINGAPORE : Police have arrested a 33-year-old man who is believed to be involved in at least four break-ins in Joo Chiat and Pasir Ris.
He was believed to be involved in a break-in on Tuesday at a house along Koon Seng Road.
Two watches, cash amounting to S$110, a handphone, a ring, a wallet and other items with a total value of more than S$700 were reported stolen.
The suspect was traced to a hotel room at Lavender Street and was arrested.
Some of the items which were reported stolen from the 42 year-old victim were also recovered from the room by the police.
Police said their investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to be involved in at least three other housebreaking cases.
The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday.
If convicted, he can be jailed for up to 14 years. - CNA/ms
