Nora Sun, a granddaughter of Sun Yat-sen – the Founding Father of Republican China – has died from injuries following a car accident.

She passed away at the Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital in Taiwan around 2pm on Saturday. Her family members were by her side.

Sun, 72, met with an accident while heading to the Taoyuan International Airport to catch a flight to Hong Kong. A vehicle, heading in the opposite direction, hit her car which was driven by a friend.
