City Harvest Church senior pastor and pop singer Ho Yeow Sun reportedly received more than $500 000 in bonuses in 2006.

The huge takings were covered up by City Harvest Church by the alleged forging of documents to indicate that the money had been gifted to her from sponsors.

This includes the sums of $30 000 for a birthday cash gift and $80 000 for a ‘performance bonus’ for several hit songs.

Part 2 of the CHC trial is currently under way after being stopped for 3 months.

Yesterday marked the first day of the 2nd part of the trials where this information was revealed.

Prosecutors made a case that management company Xtron, who was the company behind Ms Ho’s music career was actually completely controlled by the church.

CHC leaders stand accused of using Xtron and another shell company Firna to pay Ms Ho from church funds. Then, using more funds to cover their tracks resulting in a total misappropriation of over $50 million.

The church leaders have seen huge support with many church followers lining up outside the courts since early morning in order to try and get a seat in the courtroom.

The 6 church leaders stood together in the dock but one, Chew Eng Han, reportedly kept a distance from the other 5. He was a church stalwart at the time but had quit the church in June.

Day 2 of the trial is underway today.
