Fudan student poisoner sentenced to death

A former Fudan University student was sentenced to death for the fatal poisoning of his roommate, the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's Court ruled this morning.
The convict Lin Senhao, 28, a medical postgraduate, appeared in the courtroom in an army green coat and accompanied by two bailiffs.
The court said Lin held a grudge against Huang Yang, who was also a medical postgraduate at Fudan, over trivial matters.
Lin kept his head down and his face revealed no emotion as he listened to the judge, who reviewed the case and listed the evidence before announcing the verdict.
"There has not been a single moment when I thought I would forgive the poisoner," Huang's father told Shanghai Daily before today's hearing.
