HAHAHA.... you won't believe it but I was told by my MP that sg had no choice but to sign the FTA becos our market is so small compared to India's we got to agree to free movement of manpower between the 2 countries ie unlimited access by Ah Nehs to sg and likewise same access by sgian fo Ah NehLand!!
