Steve Martin sorry for offensive tweet

Comedian Steve Martin has apologised for a racially offensive tweet.
The actor was joking about grammar on the micro-blogging site when one fan asked, in reference to lasagne: "Is this how you spell lasonia?"
The star reportedly responded: "It depends. Are you in an African American neighborhood or at an Italian restaurant?"
Twitter users criticised the quip, prompting Martin to delete the tweet and issue an apology.
"My tweet was highly inappropriate," he tweeted.
