Singaporeans are well known to be a pragmatic lot, but ULTIMATELY, it is LOVE that COMPELS us to progress & evolve, even after mistakes made as NO mortal is perfect but only have flaws, when acknowledged, corrected, stand up with COURAGE, MOST will be able to live a meaningful live with love.
Valentine's day is CELEBRATED ALL OVER THE WORLD, where LOVE exists, for centuries.
Sadly, over time, it is COMMERCIALIZED, for profits by biz enterprises. Our World operates on Free Market OPPORTUNITIES, thus let's not blame them for their SHORT-SIGHTEDNESS. They know NOT the harm that they had done to CIVILIZATION, as without renewable resources, whom are frightened by the COSTS, would rather live alone, & see the end of Humankind....
HONEST & LEGAL money & opportunities can be made every other day, & need NOT be on Valentine's day, which is a celebration of LOVE, which is a power & comes with RESPONSIBILITIES to another.
Rather than to profit on the highest dimension of LOVE, perhaps biz enterprises CAN ENCOURAGE more to engage in love, to share & discuss a better fruitful future, thru lower prices encouragement & dispel the notion that money is everything - restaurants, flowers, even low cost eateries, as such are places where couples can sit down & discuss, etc.
If need be, govts whom are facing the growing global low birth rates, do have to power to enforce biz enterprises to keep costs low or reimburse co-operating biz enterprises to keep costs low, so as to encourage couples to build up relationships & assist in the program to assist higher birth rates....
Rich or poor, LOVE is an Earthborn Right. It is love that builds up a Family - the building blocks of Civilization.
Wealth or poverty is only a TEMPORARY issue. It will be love that compel us to the highest heights & achievements,,, or be burnt to ashes if it is mishandled by petty Human emotions.....
