Folks walking along Anson Road must have been really lucky yesterday — none were hurt when a glass panel on the exterior of Springleaf Tower shattered.

A statement by the Building and Construction Authority said that parts of the shattered glass panel had fallen from about 10m above ground, The Straits Times reports. The authority was notified about the incident by the police around 11am.

The area under the broken glass panel was cordoned off yesterday, while shards of glass remained on the overhead shelter.

The incident is still under investigation.
