The jogger who was slashed in Yishun on Tuesday is the second person to be attacked in the area in five days.
Shin Min Daily News reported that another woman was attacked and stabbed on 29 Jan at 11pm, about 1.5km from the latest incident.

The police spokesman said that investigations are ongoing.
While it's unclear if it was the same attacker, the details are similar.
Both victims were observed for about 15 minutes each before they were attacked. In both instances, the attacker of slim build was seen clad in long pants and T-shirts. The attacker also slashed the victims on their hands, back and neck.

Woman's face brutally stabbed

A 24-YEAR-OLD woman suffered a C-shaped open wound on her right cheek after her routine morning jog along Khatib Bongsu Park Connector at Yishun Avenue 9.

She was brutally stabbed by an unknown local Chinese man at about 11am last Tuesday. Her neck, upper arm and back also sustained multiple cuts.

Her assailant is believed to be in his 30s, and about 1.7m tall.

A photofit of the assailant has been provided by the victim, and police are appealing for tip-offs from eyewitnesses.
