STOMPer Naim was both shocked and thankful that he and his family survived after the Malaysian train they were in derailed at about 11am yesterday (August 31).

According to the STOMPer, he was in returning to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur with his wife and their six-year-old son, when the train suddenly slowed down.

He said:

"There was no noise whatsoever. The train just slowed down and stopped.

"But we got the shock of our lives when we alighted from the train and saw that about three of the rear carriages had overturned.

"I could see people injured and bloodied. One woman had dislocated her shoulder.

"We then realised how lucky we were because we were in on of the front carriages."

According to a report in The Straits Times, the express train from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore was carrying 243 passengers. It had derailed in Batu Anam, injuring 17 passengers, including three Singaporeans.

Luckily nobody was killed...

That's considered a good record for such an old, slow and antiquated train system...

Bo Pian, no money to improve the infrastructure, after spending monies on mats in space, and that used to be world's tallest Petronas towers....

MATLAND BOLEH!! SOLID SIAH!

TAKE IT AT YOUR OWN RISKS!
