More biker chicks on the roads

MORE women are taking to the roads on their bikes, changing up the previously male dominated domain of motorcycle riding.
Bukit Batok Driving Centre has seen an increase in its number of female students taking their motorcycle licence - up from 17 per cent 5 years ago to 20 per cent this year.
Motorcyclists themselves have noticed more girls with their spunky bikes on the roads but it's not just the smaller bikes they're riding.
Some of these biker beauties ride powerful bikes that would put even the most faithful Lorenzo Lamas wannabes to shame.
When asked if she gets discriminated on the roads being a female bike rider, Adeline Chong, 22, who rides a 400cc sports bike said: 'You get a lot of people staring and sometimes a lorry would stop beside you and go 'eh eh' but it does have its plus points. If my bike breaks down, I'm more likely to get help.'
