Serious Some serious techky question about ip cam

How much data does ip cam roughlee consume if no leecording done I.e purelee monitoring?

So far my uncle cannot find answers.

If the app doesn't have a logout or exit button and we simplee close the app by pressing hp home button, does it still consuming the data ?
If we didn't perform any leecording does it utilise alot of data usage ?
My uncle worlee his data plan will explode if cannot find answer KNN

Most cameras go into "Standby Mode" when not recording which saves on power and data. Approx 2mb per day on standby mode is common but can vary. When recording or connecting to the camera you can use between 260mb-700mb (Approx) for 1 hour of recording or playback on the app. Typical settings only record for for 15-30 seconds every time there is motion detected.

Cannot find answer if close by pressing home button is data usage still active ?
