In some constituencies, we currently have some minority MPs who do not grace RC Meetings/Senior citizens meeting, and even do not attend regular meet-the-people sessions and even if they do go for walkabouts, would only concentrate their attention only on certain "elite" blocks which house high-income earners or perhaps their supporters. In some extreme instances, there are also no longer any bazzars or pasar malams held there at all unlike when it was supervised by a non-minority MP. To some, this might be been even as a culture clash.
With the recent case with MPs Cynthia Phua/Lim Hwee Hua , it might be the ripe time for the PM to also shift his focus into producing a KPI indicator and measurement to gauge these other non-performing MPs who do not sit too well with the people and not just focus only on the cabinet Ministers. If the constituents can get a vote of approval rating once every quarterly instead of after five years, it might be a good indicator of the job that the MP is doing in his/her constituency. Afterall, even the US President gets regular ad-hoc ratings to gauge his popularity.
