So has anyone patronize the new Margaret Drive food center ?

I mentioned this in a previous post.

The ground floor feels like a school canteen, the acoustics not very good and the sounds will bounce off the three sides where the stalls are located. Very noisy, in an irritating way.

Second floor, the cheap dessert stall and Hakka thunder tea stall are always closed when I visit. The second floor also leads back to the new HDB block behind the hawker centre.

Many stalls from the Tanglin Halt hawker centre didn't migrate to Margaret Drive.

The top one has great prata but hygiene is questionable. The utensils are oily as fuck.
The bottom one used to have a very old-school chicken rice stall many years back. Some tiongs took over and standard dropped like bird-shit.

They moved to Mei-Ling Street market.

Not sure if there will be a price increase from the former $1.

Ask the hawkers who came from Tanglin Halt how much their monthly rental had increased.

Had my fried chicken rice there this morning. Price went up by $0.50 from $7.50 to $8.00 with my usual order of 2 drumsticks + rice, sadly no gian. Still reasonable.
The kopi next door was solid, thick, not too sweet with a slight bitter taste.
I'm looking forward to sister Claire's review.
