<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->IT IS great to hear that SingNet is helping subscribers tide over this difficult time by giving a $10 rebate on monthly subscriptions for its 3Mbps broadband plan.
But I hope SingNet will not forget customers on the 1Mbps plan.
I am not allowed to upgrade to the 3Mbps plan as my 24-month contract for the 1Mbps plan expires only in November.
I pay $35.62 a month for the 1Mbps plan, which is already higher than the charge for the 3Mbps plan, which is $32.90 before the $10 reduction.
I am not sure how SingNet does its pricing. It should at least give the same rebate to 1Mbps subscribers who are not allowed to upgrade to the 3Mbps plan.

Hmmm... normally the contract allows upgrading any time because you're paying more so it's not true that you cannot upgrade to 3Mbps. However, you might not be entitled to the rebate in the process though?

i am paying $31.90 for 8mbps.

It is now awaiting volume shipment of HSPA+ dongles, which are expected to arrive by end-April. The price of the dongles - devices that connect to the computer to enable broadband connection - are expected to be around $300, while subscription to the service is expected to cost slightly over $100 per month. Subscribers, however, can expect to pay less as there will be promotions and pricing bundles at launch. To kickstart its new platform, StarHub is now offering a trial to 100 customers.
