A man was cleared of charges of punching and pushing his father after the prosecution withdrew the charges on Wednesday.
Instead, Cheng Tai Peng, 38, was given a stern warning.
He was supposed to have been tried for punching his 68-year-old father twice on his cheek at a void deck of Jurong East 21 on June 4, 2010, and pushing him at home 10 minutes later.
Cheng is currently serving a 10-week jail term for slapping and punching a 64-year-old cleaner on an MRT train travelling between Bukit Batok MRT station and Choa Chu Kang station on April 3 the same year.
