Body in Beijing morgue unclaimed

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is appealing for anyone with information about a Singaporean whose body has been lying in a Beijing morgue since August to contact them.
Efforts by the MFA to trace the next of kin of Mr Francis Moh Yang, 68, has been in vain.
He was found dead in his Beijing apartment on Aug 27. His identity was traced to Singapore after checks with the police here.
According to The Straits Times, Mr Koh is believed to have been suffering from some illness but the cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
The report also stated that he was married to a Taiwanese, Ms Hsu Gin-yu, but she remains uncontactable.
Mr Koh was previously married to a Singaporean and was known to have lived on the ninth floor in a flat at 19 Jalan Jintan until 1986.
The building has since been demolished.
The Straits Times managed to trace a report in its newspaper dated February 1978, stating that he had applied to divorce his Singaporean wife, claiming she had left him for five years.
They had been married for 11 years.
His wife, who was then aged 31, did not contest the petition and was granted custody of their two children by consent.
Another clue was in an advertisement placed in The Straits Times in June and July 1979, stating that Mr Koh was no longer employed by Borneo Motors and hence unauthorised to conduct any business on its behalf.
A bankruptcy notice was taken out against Mr Koh in Oct 1975, who was then living in Beng Wan Place, by creditor Samsons at Selegie Complex.
A check by The Straits Times showed that a warrant of arrest against Mr Koh was issued in April 1997 by the High Court assistant registrar in relation to the bankruptcy.
Police have confirmed that he was a Singaporean based on fingerprint checks by the Criminal Investigation Department.
