Shame on S'pore commuters: Nobody gives up seat for old woman and blind man
STOMPer Rafael was outraged that this old woman and blind man, on two separate occasions, were forced to stand for the duration of their train journey because nobody would give up their seat.
The STOMPer writes:
"I boarded the train from Sembawang and saw this old lady standing.
"She stood all the way until she alighted at Yio Chu Kang.
"No one gave up their seats for her and they are all youngsters.
"A young guy who was sitting saw her but totally ignored her.
"Also, two weeks ago, a blind man boarded the train with his luggage.
"He accidentally put his luggage on the belongings of the guy in the red shirt.
"The guy simply pushed the blind man's luggage away to get his own bag.
"He didn't give up his seat and continued 'sleeping'.
"Please! Give up your seat to those in need!"
