SINGAPORE - After attending a spin class in May, Ms Wendy Chan's legs were so wobbly she had trouble walking and her urine was abnormally dark.

When things still did not improve three days later, the 29-year-old community engagement executive sought help at the emergency department at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in Yishun.
