A man and woman from Singapore were found dead in a homestay in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The police found that the room where the crime occurred was sealed with tape and garbage bags, and there were traces of charcoal burning at the scene. The initial investigation believed that the two committed suicide.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the police investigation found that the bodies of the deceased had begun to rot and emit a foul odor when they were found, and they may have been dead for many days, but the specific situation is still to be confirmed by the autopsy report.
The local police also found drugs suspected to be ketamine in the room where the incident occurred.
The police also said that the 43-year-old male and 33-year-old female victims were both Singaporean citizens, and they are currently investigating the relationship between the deceased, the time of entry, and how long they had lived in the homestay.
The police also said that the homestay in question did not have CCTV surveillance installed, so the case needs further investigation.
