Singapore is a severely water-challenged country.

Today, this is where we get 50% of their water supply from..

The Linggiu Reservoir has a catchment area of 216 square kilometers.

It was constructed by PUB (Singapore water agency) in 1990, supplement to 1962 Water Agreement, where Singapore was given 'the full and exclusive right & liberty' to draw up to 250 million gallons of water a day from Johor River.

Under the 1962 agreement also it states that Johor 'shall not at any time do any act or deed which might in any way prejudicially affect the interests' of Singapore.

To date Singapore has spent more than S$1 bil on Linggiu project - compensation for the loss of land (e.g. revenue loss from logging), paying the annual rent, constructing the dam, waterwork, tanks, pipeline, plant, etc

When agreement expires in 2061, everything built under this agreement will be handed back to Johor undemolished, likely free of charge

Note: This reservoir almost dried up back in 2016 & 2019 due to drought.

Singapore water consumption is expected to double by 2065.

At this rate PAP is bringing in foreigners, it would probably double way before 2065...

Even if Johor violates the water agreement what can Sinkies do? Go to International Court of justice or send in 1st Commando Battalion?

Singapore was never a severely water challenged country. Whatever the government has put up is always a trap and scam. You were the sheeple that got deceived by them. Most Singaporeans are stupid for a reason
