A group of molestation and rape victims and their families have sought the help of a volunteer group to prevent former sex offenders from returning to their old ways - by giving them a cash incentive to stay crime-free. They will each receive $1,000 for every year that they stay out of trouble.
Funded by the victims and their families, the initiative was introduced by Crime Library, a voluntary group better known for tracking down missing people, after the victims shared with it the difficulties in adjusting to life after their ordeals.
