Statement in Response to Media Queries on Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail​

1. Singapore is willing to discuss any new proposal for a Kuala Lumpur – Singapore high-speed rail from Malaysia in good faith, starting from a clean slate. We await details of a new proposal from Malaysia.

You cannot have a rail service company managed by comittees from two gomen.

The jakarta -bandung high speed rail is a good example of what is should be like.
A railway company from china invest in, build and soon, to operate the rail service between the two cities. Gomen assist in land acquisition.
If successful, that network will be expanded to surabaya. If it fails, the company losses money.

A tender should be called for the building and operating of this high speed rail network between sinkie and KL. No gomen involvement.
