Singapore is overregulated and it's killing us!

In Singapore, everything also need license, approvals, certification.. Etc etc. U don't see all these red tape in other countries. Granted there is a downside to lax regulation but the amount of regulation we have here is ridiculous. It's killing the SMEs, it's sapping the strength of the innovators, the entrepreneurs and it's certainly making life miserable for everyone.
Maybe we should do like our neighbours ' Singapore Boleh?

In sinkapore, the regulations are directed at sinkees. Sinkapore government kowtows to foreign entities, be in people or business.

That's why the poor is destined to be poor forever. In other countries, the poor can just set up small business with little capital, like set up a street food stall. To be a hawker here, have to pay high rent, pass this test and that test, and that pay through the nose for other fees. Before you start, you are already at least $10k in the hole. How can a poor man climb up through entrepreneurship?

As usual u try to confuse the issue. U talking apple when I am talking orange! Of course MNCs like it here, they get tax breaks and they get preferential treatment. Local SMEs got nobody to help them and sometimes the garment will even help the GLCs to take biz away from them!

They also can also survive on much less business because things are more affordable. In Spore if you don't do enough bizness you'll have problems
