Came across this video clip of Singapore taken in 1957. Thought it might be of interest to those who who were taught that Peesai was a "fishing village" before Old Harry transformed it. It was actually already an interesting and exciting spot in this world for that time. Less crowded as well.

without the pap, much of sg would remain swamp and squalor anyway. this is one swamp that is being preserved for old times sake. :p

thanks to the pap, malay natives can now celebrate weddings at the comfort, convenience, and cost-effectiveness of hdb void decks, rather than kampung squalor. :D
